Terms of Service
Last updated: March 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Briefvex platform operated by Briefvex ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
Briefvex is an AI-powered meeting-intelligence platform that records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings, syncs outputs to CRM and project-management tools, and drafts follow-up emails on your behalf.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Record meetings without the knowledge and consent of all participants where required by applicable law.
- Use the service to process, store, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or derive the source code of the Briefvex platform.
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls.
- Resell or sublicense access to the service without written permission.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Organization administrators are responsible for managing member access and ensuring that use within their organization complies with these Terms.
4. Billing & Payments
Paid plans are billed through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for all transactions. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax, and VAT collection on our behalf. Your payment relationship is with Paddle; their Terms of Sale apply to purchases.
All plans start with a 14-day free trial. No payment method is required to start a trial. After the trial, your subscription continues at the selected plan rate unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual). You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Intellectual Property
Your data: You retain all ownership rights to your meeting recordings, transcripts, summaries, and any content you upload or generate through the service. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.
Our platform: The Briefvex platform, including its design, code, algorithms, documentation, and trademarks, is owned by Briefvex and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the service as intended.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Briefvex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Briefvex in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that AI-generated summaries, transcripts, or email drafts will be accurate, complete, or error-free. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before relying on it or sending it to third parties.
8. Termination & Data Export
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, we will retain your data for 30 days to allow export, after which it will be permanently deleted. You may request a data export at any time by contacting support@briefvex.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Delaware.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
